White, Clear and Tough resin

The Formlabs Form 2 is a 3D desktop printer that uses SLA (stereolithography) technology to reconstruct geometric 3D files into a solid model. Powered by a 250 mW UV laser, models can be printed with an accuracy down to 25-50 microns, depending on the resin. Most prints take approximately 6-8 hours, given that there are 500+ layers for a majority of models.

  • Requires .OBJ or .STL files
    • NIH 3D Print Exchange: Thousands of models in the following categories: medical & anatomical, custom labware, molecules & chemicals, proteins, viruses & macromolecules, bacteria, organelles & cells
    • NASA: Models of asteroids, hurricanes, satellites, landing sites, and more.
    • Thingiverse: Hundreds of thousands of 3D models with categories including: Tools, Toys, Gadgets, Fashion, Art
  • Maximum build size: 5.7 x 5.7 x 6.9 inches
  • Resin types currently available: white, clear and tough
  • Accuracy (25, 50, 100 microns available)
    • 25 microns and higher: clear
    • 50 microns and higher: white and tough
